The Annex is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created by and for beauty professionals. Our mission is to provide affordable education, mentorship, and community for hairstylists, makeup artists, estheticians, and other creatives who want to build confident, sustainable businesses.

🎤 Your Role as a Presenter
As a valued presenter, you’ll deliver an educational session that helps beauty professionals strengthen their craft or grow their business.
You can choose to:
- Present in person at one of our Minnesota events, or
- Join us virtually as part of our national webinar series
Each session is typically 20–30 minutes with a short Q&A.
We ask presenters to:
✅ Provide a session title, short description, and brief bio
✅ Follow our no-sales policy (this is about education, not promotion)
✅ Submit slides or outlines one week prior to the event
✅ Participate in a brief orientation call so we can support your success
The Annex provides:

💡 Promotion of you and your session
💡 Access to a professional audience eager to learn and grow

We’re seeking presenters who are passionate about teaching and giving back to the industry.
Ideal topics include:

Application Process
Submit Your Interest Form
Share your topic, short bio, and preferred event (in-person or virtual).
Review & Approval
Our education committee reviews applications monthly and will contact you with next steps.
Orientation & Prep
You’ll receive a presenter guide and optional orientation call before your session.
Code of Conduct
All presenters agree to:
- Maintain professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
- Respect The Annex’s educational purpose (no product or service sales during sessions).
- Deliver accurate, inclusive, and respectful content aligned with our mission.

Yes! We host both in-person and online events throughout the year.
Presenters volunteer their time as part of our nonprofit’s educational mission. However, you’ll receive significant exposure and professional promotion through The Annex’s marketing channels.
